JILTED

The Skies are dark as is my heart

Forever now we stand apart,

Not again will I seek out your voice

No longer your coming will I rejoice,

Two worlds once one now contort and tear

That which was eternal is no longer there,

For the skies are dark as is my heart

And though the pain inside is oh so great,

Subtley now it is quelled by hate

At You - at me - at all observed,

For what was given was not deserved

Now that you're gone you can't protest,

As I utter phrases of insincere detest

But this hate is just a trick of the mind,

So I realize a new world I must find

And world-building I must restart,

Since forever now we stand apart.
