LAKEWALK

Different ages
varied sizes
a slice of cosmopotalia
by ones, twos or more
most dressed in sporty attire
some pushing strollers
others with children in tow
everything is moving
slow walk, fast gait,
joggers, bladers, scooters
talking, huffing, puffing
enjoying their one point three mile
Clement Park perimeter lakewalk
throughout the day.

Faces happy, serious, contemplative,
stern, smiling, relaxed
most nature's way enjoy
while a few their concerns discuss
others with perhaps
more joyful thoughts
are rightly reinvigorated
though no matter the
personal disposition of their minds
the pure enjoyment of
the motion and the moment
generates a repeat desire
to once again along with others
a lakewalk partake.
